How fast did you read Devoted in Death? Do you gulp and now need to go back, reread and savor?

I read it very fast, because the pacing was speedier than most...all the action seems to take place within two days, with a brief nod to earlier activity. I hope that Deputy Banner transfers to the NYSPD, because the group needs some fresh blood. There's a throwaway comment, early in the book, when Eve tells Baxter that he's a good trainer and she's willing to offer him a new rookie. It would be interesting to see Baxter and Banner at work, and Trueheart paired with someone else.
