Night Prince 4 title and song rec requests

As the subject line states, we now have a title for the fourth and final book in the Night Prince series, otherwise known as the Vlad and Leila books :). And the title is...

INTO THE FIRE

I'm also delighted to say that cover model Paul Marron, who appeared on the previous three Night Prince covers, WILL appear on the final cover as well. I haven't seen the cover yet, but I'm very excited to see what the art department comes up with since they're done such a great job with my other book covers.

And finally, I also have a tentative release date for INTO THE FIRE, which is summer 2016. Once I have a definite date (and a cover!) I'll be sure to share those with everyone.

Speaking of the book, as per my usual routine, I'm compiling my iTunes list of songs to write it to, and I would love your recommendations since your prior ones have introduced me to so many new songs and bands. If you aren't familiar with my music tastes, check out my previous book "playlists" here, here, and here. Thank you in advance for your suggestions! iTunes thanks you, too, since they're about to get a good chunk of my money ;).

Karly I am very excited for the summer of 2016 now. I decided to give you my current writing playlist and I hope it helps you as much as it has helped me.

FantasyLover Hey Jeaniene,

I can't wait for the book to come out. Until then some of my favorite songs since we seem to have a similar musical preference.

M83 ft. Haim - Holes in the Sky
Stromae - Meltdown
Di-rect - Blind for you
Labrinth - Jealous
Vaults - One last night
Armin van Buuren - Going wrong, youtopia
Within Temptation - Sinead, utopia
Susanne Sundfor - White foxes
London Grammer - Strong
and of course the whole smoke + mirrors album which I'm sure you're already listening to.

I hope you like them.
Love,
Kirsten

Angie Love your books & I'm looking forward to Into the Fire! Here's my playlist:

Fall Out Boys - Centuries (cause Vlad is old, haha)

Charlie Puth - One Call Away (esp. if Maximus were to appear)

Rachel Platten - Fight Song (my current anthem song, Leila can borrow it)

Shinedown - Outcast (because they're awesome)

Selena Gomez - Good For You (sultry feelings invoked)

Well, I guess that's all I've got! Enjoy!

Jocelin Here are a couple of songs that I think may inspire you:

Breathe of Life- Florence + The Machine
Marble Halls - Enya (it's ethereal and majestic)
Little Bird - Imogene Heap
Earned It - The Weeknd
No One Like You - Best Coast
Severina - The Mission UK
Soundtrack to Bram Stoker's Dracula (The one Francis Ford Coppola directed) is actually quite good. It has lots of rich, gothic and passionate compositions.

Happy writing to you! Enjoy! :-)

message 5: by Laura (new)

Laura I only have one suggestion as every book collection I have seems to get it's own theme song in my head (Cat and Bones are even the same band!):

Skillet - yours to hold

Always reminds me of these two :)

Laura Angie: Shinedown are incredible, I'm guessing you're loving the new album, too :)

Aki I'm still going to recommend the Ghost Hunt Soundtrack. I don't know if itunes has it, but it might. It's a great cd with creepy music and heartening pieces, too.

Unfortunately, my playlist isn't in English, so I doubt the rest of the songs would go over well. But try the Ghost Hunt soundtrack. ^_^

I haven't listened to the whole album (yet) but look forward to it. And Skillet is another good one!
