I'm curious about your thoughts about the work of the Bode's work. How do you feel about Vaughn's work? How do you feel about Mark's work and how much it bleeds over into Vaughn's? It is a unique situation.

Vaughn Bodē’s work a big influence on my stuff. I always mention him when thinking of the idea of an artist leaving an imprint of their personality behind in their work.

Bodē’s  comics feel like a time capsule of who he was. It feels like he was having a great time making it– and it feels like no one else’s work. (although I have a theory on the influence of

V. T. Hamlin’s Alley Oop on his work– which would make Alley Oop like pre pre Graffiti style)

Mark Bodē’s is strange in that it’s so derivative of what his father did. I imagine it’s his way of interacting with a father who died when he was so young. It’s kind of cool in that sense and that he’s carrying on the legacy.
