Daily Sentinel Review Excerpt

Q.
Davis: My inclination is to characterize the book as a metaphysical action/adventure. Would you agree with that?

A.
Anderson: That is a good description. Metaphysical is essentially questioning the nature of the mind based on abstract reasoning — transcending physical matter or the laws of nature. Good and Evil are inextricably linked in a metaphysical battle across space and time, with a lot of action and adventure stretching from Colorado through Arizona and across the globe. Of course, Louise is there all along sharing her understanding with the other characters. All of the insights shared by Louise come from her notebooks.
