Week 36 of 52 Weeks of Tranquility: Oils

Sitting at my desk overlooking the garden, I’m coated in a variety of oils.


After bathing, I douse my body in sweet almond oil and my face in some assortment of Argan oil, rosehip oil, jojoba oil, apricot oil, and essential oils, preferably jasmine.


Or if I’m in a hurry, I stick with straight Argan oil before dashing out the door.


Face and body oils have become quite popular over the past few years and I’ve jumped on the bandwagon, courtesy of having been gifted a few.


For years I loved lathering myself in chemical-filled scented body lotions such as Pineapple Mango Mint {or other random concoctions}. Then a fellow yogi mentioned how the skin was our largest organ {yep, 8 pounds and 22 square feet of it} and she preferred oils.
