Oh, I have occasional insomnia problems, that’s all! I’m naturally really nocturnal, so a lot of the time I just have trouble shutting off my mind. Also I don’t have air conditioning and my apartment was really, REALLY hot the other night. Amazingly I still stayed up way too late last night, haha - which meant I ended up being awake for something like 22 hours with about 2 hours of sleep in my body. The night before last, I was still awake at 6am for a 7am wake-up, so I ended up cancelling my first class (I’m an ESL instructor) so that I could sleep for another hour, but I had trouble falling back asleep, so there was about 45 minutes between the two hours. It was really stupid. :P
In general, though, I think I sleep less than the average and I always have. My “minimum” to feel like a functional human is 4 hours. I know people who feel like total zombies if they’ve had less than 8, which is mind-boggling to me. I would say that on a average night I usually sleep around 5-6 hours and that’s just fine for me.
