So we heard from the Prosecutor’s office.

Justin James Goff has pleaded guilty to assault, so there will not be a hearing, and they are working out the terms of that agreement now.

We have stood firm in two requests. We believe a violent, unprovoked attack on a random target is a very serious offense. We have asked that he receive some jail time.  Additionally, we are against his lawyer’s request to have his record expunged automatically, as it was sheer luck that no permanent injuries occurred. 

We are awaiting to hear back from the Prosecutor and are again hoping for a just resolution.

Thank you all for the kind wishes. Our son is okay, and we are very proud of him for seeing this through so that it doesn’t happen to anyone else.
