Huge Doctor Who Trivia Event Coming to Cities Across the US!

Hey! You! Come here, I have some wonderful news to bring to you. Do you like quizzes? How good is your Gallifreyan history? Do you live in America? Well, there’s a huge quiz event coming up that’s just for you! Geeks Who Drink is a homegrown Pub Trivia Quiz, modeled after those in Ireland and the UK. They are the nation’s largest independently-owned pub quiz company. Their quizzes are sometimes thought of as “mini-conventions” for geeks. Many locations will have costume contests, special drinks and prizes created for hardcore fans.

But anyway, the important thing: for one night only (September 17th), at select Geeks Who Drink venues, you will be tested to see how much you know about our favorite Time Lord and his time traveling shenanigans. Are you ready, for the “Don’t Blink: A Doctor Who Quiz!” event? The GWD team are calling fans to action:

“Allons-y, Geeks! It’s been two years since we last quizzed on everyone’s favorite alien adventurer and the blue box that’s bigger on the inside, so we’re pleased to be bringing back Don’t Blink: A Doctor Who Quiz this September (one night only, September 17th)!”

Questions will cover Doctors Hartnell through Capaldi, but Whovians should anticipate material primarily covering the modern series. We’ll still mix in material from the classic shows, so don’t cut corners while studying. As always, Geeks Who Drink rules limit teams to a six player max, with a $5 admission fee for each player. While we can’t promise the quiz won’t go all wibbly-wobbly timey-wimey quizzy-whizzy on you, we can promise a cash prize for our winners! So if your team can tell the difference between Sontarans, Silurians and Slitheen, you’ll be well on your way to earning enough scratch to get that sonic screwdriver you’ve had your eye on.

The rules limit quiz teams to a six-person max, with a $5 admission fee for each player and total prizes in the hundreds of dollars. Admission is allowed on a first come, first served basis, thus many players will show up hours in advance.
