Amnesia & the Bright Side!

Sometimes when a song comes on the radio, I relate it to a book I’ve read or one that I could totally write!  This morning I heard Amnesia by the Josh Abbott Band on The Highway.  It’s not the first time I’ve heard it, but I had that moment with all the feels!  Check it out below!







The first time I heard it, I could play a story out in my mind.  I could visualize a bad breakup and heartache.  We’ve all had that relationship that wouldn’t hurt so much if we had amnesia.  Today when I heard it, it was a totally different scenario in my mind!  My mind went straight to Gus in Bright Side by Kim Holden.

Have you ever read a book that left such an impact it changed your life?  What about just your thought process?  I’d seen the hype about Bright Side by Kim Holden, but knew my heart might not be able to handle it… I finally gave in and my will never be the same!  What’s harder to believe is I was prepared.  I had wrapped my in a secure bandage to keep the emotions out.  It didn’t happen!  Now my classroom’s motto is “Do Epic” and we focus on being brave no matter the storm!  This book changed my life, and now I totally see what all the talk is about!  You might need to make sure you have more than one box of tissues ???
