I know you've probably gotten a ton of responses to this effect, but I just wanted to thank you for that post in defense of fantasy. Comics (and pop culture in general) would be better off it we all just had a little more fun.

Well, I think people seemed to take it as all about clothing, particularly flesh being shown, where that was really such a tiny part of it that I am a little baffled.

My point was meant to be larger, that ‘realism’ isn’t, by itself, a shining beacon on a hill that all fiction should aspire to, there is such a thing as verisimilitude, for one thing. And I also hate the notion that there’s only one correct path to follow, in any event.

I like realistic stories and I like flights of fantasy, and I like some funky mix of the two. There’s no single correct course.
