 “I remember that first service…we had to walk a long way on unpaved streets. Furthermore we were unmercilessly drenched by rain. At last we reached a small house; we crossed over a ditch on a plank and entered the house…the Holy Antimension lay on a covered table. A little table in the corner served as a table of oblation. I remember two icons on the walls: the Savior and the Mother of God. There were approximately 20 communicants at that liturgy.”

This is a good example of what we Orthodox need to do in response to these new immoral vaccination laws that do not respect the conscience rights of Christians. Protest, appeal, and hopefully win.

More Immoral Laws from our California Legislature – Lord have mercy

The country is seriously re-considering Planned Parenthood but the state of California is continuing its crazed push for godlessness. In May our State Assembly voted 49-26 in favor of requiring Pregnancy Counseling Centers (whose very reason for existence is to offer alternatives to abortion) to make referrals for abortion – AB 775- or pay hefty fines. It is more of the same- “let’s force moral people to do immoral things! and if they won’t we will make them pay.”  The Ca. Senate voted for this yesterday in a 23-14- party-line vote, and if Governor Brown signs it then it is a law and our own Riverside Life Services will be required by law to refer for abortion! The only hope for stemming this is a veto from Governor Brown.

Good for Ms. Davis. Christians ought not obey immoral laws, but resist them.  Shame on all the Presidential candidates who are poor ethicists and are saying that since gay marriage is the “law of the land” she must obey. The Holy Fathers disagree.
