Furkid Friday - September 4th 2015 (FD)

Hi humans, rodent types, and anyone else reading this.

This is Joshua the degu.

My ratty sisters, Skye and Star, had one of those birthday things on Monday. It was their first ever birthday.

My degu brothers and I have already had two of them, and seen other furry siblings having them too, so we've figured out that "birthday" means extra nibbles, and sometimes a new toy as well. We're not sure why these birthday things happen exactly... We haven't been able to figure that part out... But we like that whoever is having one gets spoiled, and the rest of us get an extra nibble as well; which the humans say is just so we don't feel left out.

Not just any nibbles, but things we're only allowed from time to time... "Treats" as the humans call them.

It's almost as good as when that Santa Paws guy visits, except the presents come from our human caretakers when it's birthday time.

I hope someone has another one of those birthday things soon, and that peanuts are involved...
