Very true, but you are looking at it from a rational perspective, an equitable perspective even. The great big giant excuse in all this is RELIGIOUS OBJECTION, which isn’t exactly rational. It isn’t that she is picking and choosing who to give marriage licences to–in fact, she stopped issuing them altogether, to heterosexual and homosexual couples–it’s her basis for it: religion.

Granted, most Christians in this country are what I call “Fox News Christians”, which means they like war and violence and Toby Keith and monster truck pulls and, oh yeah, Jesus.

Jesus’s teaching on absolute–you hear that: ABSOLUTE–pacifism is much more emphatic than his teaching on marriage.

The point is, so-called American Christians violate Jesus’s teaching everyday. Why is she taking a stand on THIS. Oh, right, because she’s an asshole.
