SilentAuror, this is meant to be a private message to you. As someone who follows your work and appreciate your insightful input into the fandom, I agree with your last post. It has been a very badly managed process and it created such a sour taste for the

(part 2) I’ve never seen Laura overstating her role, commenting on the way she is portrayed in the johnlock fandom. Professional stance requires that and you need that distance as an actor as well. I am quite disappointed and hope their self-silencing and auto-control doesn’t affect they relate to their roles. It is sabotaging an amazing production and an amazing acting chemistry! Also, maybe there is something else between those two but because of the interference, we can’t even see.

I agree - though Lara did like to sort of suggest that she and Ben were possibly more involved than he ever suggested they were. But yeah, she’s otherwise maintained a solid distance from the fandom, been generally lovely with fans, and otherwise zipped her lips about fanwork, etc. I agree about the chemistry, too. They should have gone the professional route and auditioned the role. The nepotism is a bit much in this show and in this particular case, it backfired, at least in my opinion. She did a fine job of acting the role, but just the interpersonal chemistry offscreen is problematic, as is her utter lack of professionalism.
