Today I have a very cool announcement to make — hitRECord is getting a technology partner for 2015, and that partner is a company called LG. I’m sure you’ve heard of LG before. They make mobile phones. Their company’s slogan is “Life’s good.” I actually like that slogan quite a lot because technology really should make life good.

Nowadays technology is changing the way we hear and tell stories. We can now see and hear so many different perspectives from all different people who are putting up their videos or photos, writing their stories, or making their music. And hitRECord is one community’s way of making use of all this new technology.

So what does this partnership with LG mean for hitRECord? They are gonna be supporting some of our creative projects this year and our community will be using some of their shiny new technology to do what we do best — make art. They are also gonna help us improve our technology, which is huge because so much of our creative process involves using technology to make things together. And they’ll be helping us pay all the great artists whose work is used in our productions.
