KH DRABBLES
I got this fanfic idea a while ago when I was studying for my seminar presentation. Well, being a college student and stuff sure does take a lot of time. I hate to say this, but I got so little time to relax recently. And you know what, I am into KH again! YAY!Well, into the fanfic now! I wrote it in English, so I don't have the Indonesian version. Great, isn't it?
ROXASI couldn’t take my eyes off the little guy. He said earlier that he knew Sora.“Who are you?” he asked. “Why does looking at you remind me of Sora?”The little guy, a small yellow bear wearing a red shirt, looked at me with eyes of curiosity.“Well, for your first question, my name is Roxas. And two, Sora is my brother. We’re bestest buddies ever.”“Oh!” he exclaimed. “I’m Pooh. Sora’s friend is my friend, too!”I chuckled at his innocence. “Same with me.”The little bear hopped onto my back. I quickly supported his round body with both hands, then he climbed to my shoulders, resting each leg on each shoulder. “If you are here, then Sora must be here, too, right?”I put a hand on his feet to avoid him from falling. “Uh, I hope so.”I hope so.Since the day we were sucked into a large black hole, we had been stuck together anytime and anywhere. The darkness that befallen our home islands had taken us everywhere. The first place was a town with endless sunset. I remembered they call it as Twilight Town. Not long after our harsh arrival, we were greeted by a knight and a mage, Goofy and Donald. They said something about their King looking for a way to cleanse the darkness from the universe and went missing. I couldn’t understand well, since some monsters appeared out of thin air and attacked us.That was when Sora received a giant key-like-blade. The mysterious weapon granted Sora magic power and the power to eliminate the monster back into thin air and never came back. Even Donald’s magic and Goofy’s bashes wouldn’t stop them from appearing. Meanwhile, I was the only one without any weapon. I felt so helpless, so useless.“Roxas, where is Sora?”I snapped out of my thought, looking up to the bear’s face. “Oh? Uh… I’m looking for him now.”He frowned. “You mean, you and Sora were separated?”“Yeah,” I said softly. “I went with the wrong person me, then Sora and me were separated.”Since the day Sora received the key sword, strange people and monsters kept appearing and attacking us. There were Maleficent and Pete. They could summon these monsters they called as Heartless. Their main purpose is to get Sora to open gates to other worlds using his magic sword. Once the gates are open, the worlds will be connected and darkness can take them over a lot easier than ever. The wrong person I was talking about was a strange guy wearing black coat. He said I was his belonging. Sora was so mad and attacked him like crazy. The man summoned some white monsters, a lot stronger than the Heartless. Being the useless kid I was, I could do nothing but stood and gawked like a stone. That was when the guy dragged me into a black hole, and then I saw darkness.I woke up in a prison. All white and bright. There were more than ten guys in black coat. They said something about Keyblade and Door to Darkness, then left. Somehow I managed to escape the prison when suddenly I was able to summon the same key sword like Sora’s. A gate was open for me, and it led me here, to Pooh’s home.“He must be looking for you, too, Roxas. Sora really cares about his friends, and you must be one he cares the most since you are his brother,” said Pooh, ruffling my blonde hair.I put down my right hand, and glanced at it. The Keyblade…. It won’t appear. No matter how many times I summon it, think of it, and wish for it to come, it just won’t appear. I came back to my old, useless self.“You’ll meet him soon. I do hope so,” Pooh continued.I nodded. “Yeah. I do hope so, too.”When I closed my eyes, I could see a faint image of a girl in white dress. I couldn’t see her eyes, but she was always smiling. A man in red was behind her, a hand on her left shoulder. They looked like a father and his daughter. I had never met them before, but why did they keep appearing whenever I closed my eyes? Who are they? What do they want?I don’t care! I just want to be with my brother again!
SORA I felt exhausted. Damn all those training! Now my muscles were aching. I needed a good night sleep to start the next training tomorrow.“Sora, would you like some drinks?”I turned to the white, grumpy duck. “No, thanks, Donald. I just need some rest.”“Gwarsh, I’m sure you’ll be a true hero in no time, Sora!”I turned to the person. “Thanks, Goofy.”“When you’ve became a true hero, you can save your brother!”My blue eyes stared sharply at Goofy’s big ones. He was right. I needed to be a true hero to save Roxas!Roxas was kidnapped by a man in black coat. I tried to save him, cleaning my way off the white creatures. There were too many of them, and I wasn’t strong enough. The Keyblade seemed useless, my magic were no significant effect on the creatures. I was so weak, so slow and awful. I cursed the Keyblade, the magic, and myself. The man took Roxas away. Before they disappeared, I could see Roxas’ full of terror eyes. The shining white thing on the corner of his eyes rolled down his cheeks, his painful moans, and then he disappeared with the kidnapper.“Oopsie!” Goofy snapped. “Sorry to remind you, Sora.”I shook my head. “S’fine.”Roxas was born a year after me. Since then, we had been the bestest buddies ever. We grew up together on the main island of Destiny Islands, played together, went to the same school, and made friends together all over the main island. But Roxas was born with a weak heart. In one summer day, about ten years ago, our parents trusted me to take care of Roxas since he wasn’t feeling good and they were leaving to a relative’s due to an emergency situation. It was a bright summer day, and I promised Riku and the others that I would play with them on the Play Island. I knew I couldn’t leave Roxas home alone, so I brought him with me to the Play Island.I played with the other kids, leaving Roxas alone under the shades of the paopu trees.“Stay, and don’t do any stupid thing,” I commanded that time.“Okay. Please be quick. It’s so hot today. My chest is a bit heavy,” he said.I was five that time, and I was too preoccupied with playing stupid things with my friends that I forgot about Roxas. It was sunset, when we decided to go home, that I remembered of Roxas’ existence.Under the paopu trees, my little brother was laying on his back, face as white as the sand and his heart was barely beating.“Guys,” back to reality, I called my friends. “Do you think I could ever save Roxas?”Donald, being the hot-headed and sharp mouthed duck he was, shouted, “You’ve been so pessimistic since your brother’s kidnapping! Open your mind, potato head!”I remained silent, my mind floated back to my childhood memories. When I saw Roxas’ small being on the hospital bed, I felt something stung my heart. It was my fault he was like that. It was my fault that Roxas was… was going to….Doctors said Roxas was coma. I didn’t know what that meant. The only things I knew were: My mother slapped me, and my father was disappointed. No one talked to me since that day. I was sent to my grandmother’s house in the suburb, and I wasn’t allowed to see Roxas. My life was a mess without having Roxas by my side. I ran away from grandma’s house to the hospital. I ran straight to Roxas’ ward and burst inside. There I saw Roxas sleeping with tubes and hose all over his tiny body. I remembered saying ‘sorry’ and ‘I love you’ for more than a thousand times. I never trust Santa Clause before, but I asked him to bring my brother back. It wasn’t even Christmas! I never knew what Kingdom Hearts is. It just popped into my mind, and I asked it to give my brother a new heart. A strong and healthy heart. A heart full of light that could enlighten the world and purify darkness no matter how thick it was.I was going completely insane! And then, I heard a voice. So soft, so loving.“Sora.”And I saw Roxas’ eyelids going up. Tears were raining from my eyes.Ever since that, I swear to myself that I would be the strongest person ever, so I could protect Roxas. And that’s why I’m here now, in this coliseum. I needed to be stronger, to be a true hero, then I can save Roxas.“You know, Sora,” I heard Donald spoke again, softer this time.I sighed. “Yeah, I know, I know. I am being a pessimistic bastard since Roxas’ kidnapping. You can say whatever you want, because you don’t know how important he is to me!”Donald stomped the floor with one webbed leg. “Not that! Listen to me first!”I shrugged. “Yeah, sure. Go on. Whatever.”Suddenly I felt feathery hands around my face. My eyes were straight toward Donald’s.“Listen, Sora. If you want to save your brother, just believe and go! You don’t need to train with all those wretched urns, Phil’s tantrum, or Herc’s flexing muscles, and even Meg’s annoying ‘wonderboy’ catchphrase! I’ve had enough of this coliseum, and I know you too, Sora. Just get a move on your butt and kick some other butts! I’m sure you won’t let Roxas wait ‘til you become a true hero while the guy in black coat does whatever he wants to your little brother!”I was speechless. The only thing that got into my mind was: What. The. Fuck. Did. He. Say.“Ahyuk, Donald. I never thought you’d say it that way,” said Goofy, indicating he already knew what Donald was going to say.Donald landed back on the floor, eyes still stuck on mine. “Well, I have no rights to force you to believe me, though.” He walked to the entrance of the room. “C’mon, Goofy! It’s time to get some rest.” And he left.“Wait up, Donald!” Goofy dashed following Donald. My body felt like a heavy rock. Donald’s words were swirling inside my head. Damn! Why didn’t it come to my mind at the first place! Roxas always believes in me, and now he has a very strong heart! He must be waiting for me somewhere, and I mustn’t disappoint him. What’s good to be a true hero if you disappoint the one you love the most?“Donald, Goofy, wait for me!” I shouted, and ran as fast as possible to catch my two friends. “We need to get the Gummy Ship ready for a big journey by the first morning!”Donald and Goofy, some feet away in front of me, turned over. Their faces showed confusion and shock at the same time.I flashed them a big, toothful grin. “Let’s save Roxas!”The funny expressions on their faces were fading into joy. I caught them up, bear hugged them and swirled around. How lucky I am to have friends like them! Roxas, wait for me! I’ll save you whatever it takes.
