Hi Gail! Do you think there are more female editors in comics than ever before? If so, is that translating to more female writers/artists being hired?

I think it’s likely that there are more female editors in comics than before, yes. Up until recently, I don’t think it helped bring more female creators. I worked with many female editors who hired almost no female creators at all, for various reasons (I think they felt that it would put a feminist spotlight on them, not a good thing even now, sometimes). 

But it SEEMS to be changing, it seems that female editors are being hired and even being ENCOURAGED to grab some women creators for books.
