Playboy asked me last night (very kindly and sensitively, actually) if I would share my thoughts about Yvonne Craig and Batgirl. The person who asked was the very talented Marc Bernadin, whose comics work I have always really enjoyed.

So this is the expanded piece, based mostly on my Tumblr post from last night when I was still in shock.

Yvonne Craig was there before Lynda Carter, before Sigourney Weaver, before Lucy Lawless. She meant the world to a lot of people of all genders. I dearly love her and not a day goes by where her influence is not felt in some way.
