Do you have links to pics on what you think your characters in Aaron's Game look like? Like all the guys that live in Aaron's place?

Actually not all of them. Some of them I just have vague ideas of what they look like and leave it to the readers’ imagination. Lance, for example, is the traditional “All-American blond jock.” That could be literally hundreds of possible looks, and in most cases, I’m happy to let readers create their own fantasy men based on basic descriptions. He’s very Abercrombie & Fitch.

Occasionally I do find guys who match what I’ve visualized in my head. And sometimes guys are actually inspired by real world people. Here’s some of my Tumblr posts connected to those who have actually matched:

Here’s Aaron’s analogue. I didn’t stumble across this until well into the series and after Gene Lightfoot nailed down his look in commissioned art. Gene is also responsible for Reuben’s look. I really didn’t have an image of him nailed down, but I loved what Gene did so now he’s exactly what I see in my head.

Max was inspired by an actor I have the hots for and want to spank.

Johnny (one of Reuben’s boys) was inspired by this twerking baseball player.

Rodney looks like the top guy in these two entries. I’m pretty sure he bottoms, too, but I don’t seem to have pics at my fingertips.

Dom, who I just formally introduced last chapter, is inspired by Dominic Raiola

Coach Adam is based on actor Adam Baldwin from his “Firefly” days.
