The Perseid meteor shower occurs every year in summer when the Earth passes through debris and dust of the 109P/Swift-Tuttle comet. Aug. 12, 2015 - Clearlake, California, U.S. - A meteor from the Perseid Meteor shower can be seen in the upper left corner in this long exposure image as the Jerusalem Fire burns in Lake and Napa Counties near the town of Clearlake. The Jerusalem Fire burns off Morgan Valley Rd after jumping north of the highway. The fire has burned 14,000 acres and is only 5% contained. Mandatory evacuations were in place.
