I enjoy when an author takes a chance and this story is definitely not your usual romance. It starts with flashbacks to childhood. The dreams start after a trip to Disney and they continue for the rest of her childhood and into adulthood. Maddie finds the dreams so real and the emotions they invoke so intense that she struggles to know if Charlie and Cole are real. She falls in love with both of them and even tries to break away at one point. The feelings of loss are so strong she can't stay away for long. When Charlie and Cole suspect Maddie is in danger, they decide to bridge the gap between dreams and reality.
You have to suspend belief when reading the book. Once you do, you have a very enjoyable romance. Charlie and Cole are truly dream guys.
