Please fire me. I work as an overnight camp counselor and spent a week counselling a cabin of exactly 2 little girls. One of them was literally named Ocean and yet had a phobia of all things water and swimming related. The other girl, her sister, was also scared of swimming.
If all that irony wasn’t enough, seeing as we were on a lake and most activities were in the water, it made my job a bit frustrating. I eventually talked them into trying out the shallow end of our swimming pool, but shortly after they hopped in they ended up clinging to the ladder of the pool screaming to get out. Of course, they didn’t want any of the counselors or lifeguards to actually lift them out, so they ended up clinging to the ladder for almost 15 minutes screaming while we tried to get them to let go.
