TIL: Sherlock thinks John is ‘mad’ for putting up with him all this time.  Sherlock doesn’t understand why John tolerates all the whims of his personality which others are easily repulsed by, but he knows John isn’t going anywhere.

Although it’s also because John himself just stated that everyone, including him, thinks that he’s mad to put up with it. What I particularly like about this is that Sherlock also subtly reminds John that he isn’t even using his charm on him. And John already finds him charming when he’s being a dick (see the blog post after John watches Lestrade’s video, wherein Sherlock says that none of John’s friends like him - he finds THAT charming!). Imagine how much more charmed John would be if Sherlock really turned it on? :) (I’m not convinced that he completely knows how, but let’s say less about that for now.) :P
