Whatever happened to Don D'Auria?

That's one of the questions asked repeatedly at conventions and on message boards, Facebook, Twitter, and anywhere else more than three authors gather at a time. During his time at Dorchester – Leisure, Don D'Auria created their venerable horror line, as well as overseeing their western and thriller divisions. When he was let go, I wrote my thoughts about it here. Today, Don announced that, beginning Monday, he will be heading up the new horror line for Samhain Publishing, who until now have been known for their romances, but are now expanding into other genres. Don tells me that the horror line will launch in October and feature two books per month. And yes, with a new horror line to build from scratch, he will be in the market for manuscripts.
