Friday

It's Friday.
"Michael, I'm going to write-up your Letter of Recommendation this weekend to attach to your transfer request," Stephanie Bautista announced.
I smiled, thinking that she should have already sent it off yesterday. I'll be patient. I still sent out a job inquiry cover letter and resume to IBM.

Steph Redding is going to look into ARMIJO HIGH SCHOOL in Fairfield, too. We may make a point of visiting there 'just for the fun of it'.

Teresa thanked me for the baby shower gift that I (mom) got for her. She really liked it.

My brother, Tony, and Judy will begin their first day of work in our office on Monday.

Margaret Lai and I enjoyed another lunch at B and M Chinese.  I love that place.  I can never decide between Tomato Beef Chow Mein or Chicken Noodle Chow Mein.

After work I went home and made arrangements to meet with Chad at 8PM (at the gym, of course).

I enjoyed dinner at mom's house and went to the gym after that light bite. Chad was already there. We 'sort of' worked out together. He wasn't in the mood for working out because he had already had a workout at Family Fitness earlier today. He left sometime between 9:30PM and 10PM while I was still cooling down on the Life Cycle.
Chad asked, "Hey Mike. Why don't we invite Tom to that party?"
Tom is some religious nerd who works out at our gym that I barely know.
I replied, "I'd rather not."
That was when Chad left abruptly, saying, "Bye!"

After my workout was complete I went home. I was surprised because Chad was not there! I expected him to be at my place. I was kind of pissed-off—but I just figured he'd show up soon. He never did appear. My telephone was unplugged (on-purpose). I figured—in my mind—that he'd gone out with that Tom guy…or something. I went to bed. Yawn.
He was only an arm lengths away but as distant as the moon.
