So, Doctor Who Series 9 is almost in the bag, with broadcast of the first episode scheduled for Saturday, September 19th on BBC One and BBC America. You’ll be surprised to learn, then, that this week, scenes from the finale are being shot…
Here you can see the decorated 200th slate of block six of Doctor Who Series 9, somewhere in the Rachel Talalay-directed episodes 11 and 12.

However – amazingly – there is still a long way to go. Remember that production took a two week break? Well, it seems that in addition to the finale, there is still work to do on Mark Gatiss’ episode 9. Could it be that rewrites or changes of personnel behind the scenes have necessitated these delays? We can’t say, but if TV production interests you, the making of Doctor Who always seems to be a fascinating story.
Meanwhile, we’ve also been “treated” to the happy dance of Ingrid Oliver, who you can’t have failed to notice is returning to Doctor Who following her character Osgood’s death in Series 8’s Death in Heaven at the hands of Missy. Perhaps it was the Zygon duplicate; I’m not sure I really care enough.

That wasn’t annoying at all, was it? I’m saying I hope that Osgood dies again, but, well, I do.
So there.
