Glastonbury 2015 Diary: Part Five

Got up at about half six, although it felt a lot later. Most stuff was already packed from moving around the day before, so I just had to take the tent down. I knew that all busses and coaches picked up from Gate A and so I headed there. Turns out not to be too difficult to wing it by public transportfree shuttle bus to Castle Cary, which took about an hour if you include the waiting, then the train went to both Paddington and Reading. Got off at Reading and farted around finding a bus stop – found one, and hopped on the 850 to Wycombe, the same bus I take to work, only going the other way. And so that’s how I got home.

Encore

Kill me twice

and send me to hell

and back;

dig up the bones

of my ancestors

and ask them

what they’re playing at.

Blood

stains your hands,

whether it’s your own blood

or your enemies’ –

everyone bleeds

sometimes,

and so we’ve just gotta do

what we can do.

It’s everything

you ever dreamed of

since you

were a little kid,

ready to drop into the fire,

like when you’re playing

for the prize of a lifetime,

and you could gamble it all

for a bonus question:

“Can I kiss you

just there

on the nape of

your neck?”
