You’ve Got It All Wrong

You’ve Got It All Wrong…
‘There is nothing about an individual as important as his IQ, except possibly his morals’ …
If you haven’t heard the quote above before, it’s from Lewis Terman.
Lewis was a professor of Psychology at Stanford University during the first half of the 20th century.
He was responsible for studying over 250,000 students and is credited for much of what we know and understand about intelligence testing.
Here’s the thing, though;
He got it wrong.
What!?
Yes, he got it wrong.
Okay, when it came to intelligence and it’s link to success…
Terman understood a lot more than most people do.
But he missed one important part of the puzzle.
You see…
He believed (wrongly) that the greater a person’s IQ, the greater a person’s achievements would be in life.
He made an automatic and unbreakable link.
There’s a link of course.
There is a point where the level of IQ stops playing a part and other factors (with equal or greater importance) kick in.
It’s the same in every area of life, business or sport.
There are ‘required traits or attributes’ needed to succeed. But once you have ‘enough’ to compete in the game – the game is then won on a number of different fronts.
Take Michael Jordan as an example;
He was ‘big enough’ to play basketball at the highest level – but NOT the biggest basketball player of all time. But he was (probably) the greatest basketball player of all time.
Read that again.
He was ‘big enough’.
Not the biggest.
You see…
While the traits (to be tall) are important for basketball success – that isn’t all that is needed to succeed and get to the top.
If it was, every guy over 6feet 6 inches would be playing professional basketball, right?
And they’re not.
So what’s the point?
It’s this;
Unfortunately, you’ve had it wrong this whole time. You’ve been trained to think that you must be the best to succeed – the biggest, the fastest, the most connected, the richest, the most beautiful – and if you’re not you don’t or won’t get in the game.
I know because I was the same.
The thing is…
You probably already have most (if not all) of what YOU need to succeed.
You have the required traits, suitable experience and preferred characteristics. You might even have the right contacts and network to help you reach your specific goals.
But something is missing.
Something is holding you back.
Perhaps, there are just a couple of small adjustments you need to make to turn into an A Team competitor.
You could be right at the tipping point – ready to turn your life around and start reaching all your goals – with just a few little things needed to turn you into one of life’s success stories.
And simple guidance could be the key to YOUR success.
A clear path – personal to your journey – could propel you towards the finish line in the shortest possible time.
