The bigness of Batman, in short

Batman’s adventures were larger than life, literally.

On comic book covers in the 1940s and early 1950s, his villains were sometimes shown as giants.






 This time, it was literal.


Inside, he fought those villains on oversized props. 


Even his ears were bigger (sometimes extremely so).


Bats may be small but Batman has never been.
