i feel like maybe CP should be two separate pieces?? like, i know you like frankie, but i don't really care about him and i LOVED art crit, so i just wanna know what's going on with james and turkish. frankie is too pretentious and self-aggrandizing for me

I don’t always write charaters people like (oh the hate mail for James, Turkish and Jaime from Juicy Fruit!) I feel you, and respect you opinion, but the sequel has a couple of things going on that will never make it like Art Crit. Art Crit is the youth slump, the first time glitter and flush of coming of age. The sequel is about remption, fucking up and 2nd or 5th chances. It’s about getting older and choosing something rather than letting it happen. And maybe you will never like Frankie, but I will say if you know my work, people are not all that they seem on the surface.
