Amazon Prime Day - Where Are The Deals?

As we have previously reported, to be able to get in on Amazon's Prime Day deals you must be a member of the Prime program. The cost is $99 per year (or $49 for students). There is a workaround on this, however. You can join Amazon Prime on a free trial basis and still get in on the sale. Click here to sign up for the free trial.

How To Find The Deals

As in 'Black Friday' fashion, the deals are coming and going all throughout the day. You will see countdown timers, notices of upcoming deals, it is a lot to take in. The main landing page for the sale is here. An equally important place to monitor for deals is Twitter. Amazon has set up the hashtag #happyprimeday to announce the deals in real time. As you would expect, they have made dramatic price cuts to Kindle and Kindle Fire.

Contests And Sweepstakes

You will also find quite a lot of contests that you can enter. For example, if you play just one song from Amazon Prime Music, that enters you in a contest to win $25,000. A total of $100,000 in prizes will be given away in this one contest alone. There are plenty of others to enter, all with tens of thousands of dollars in prizes as well.

Wal-Mart And Others

Don't forget to check other major retailer's sites like Wal-Mart and Best Buy, as they are having their own sales in response to the Amazon event.
