Anybody read this or any other book in the series?

Phantom - Jo Nesbø

The inspector’s name is Harry Hole. All jokes aside, this hardcover was only $5 at BAM. If nothing else it’ll look damn good on my shelf. Seriously, this guy’s books are gorgeously designed.

Snotchocheez I've read and reviewed Jo Nesbø's The Snowman (The only book of his I've read, but I need to rectify that). As police procedurals go, pretty darn good. Reminds me quite a bit Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch series, if Bosch was relocated from Los Angeles to Norway. My review of that book also talks about the pronunciation of Harry Hole (which our resident polyglot Manny weighs in (it's more probably prnounced "haw-leh", like the Hawaiian term for non-native Hawaiians "haole"). Still giggle-worthy. And, agreed, great cover designs!

(At this point in my life, though, with a precocious seven year-old daughter, I'm a little more interested in checking out Nesbø's "Dr. Proctor Fart Powder" series, as I'm sure my daughter would get a kick out of the books...and the complimentary whoopie cushion included with the box set. Though, don't know what's creepier, Nesbø's Harry Hole books, or the idea of Nesbø writing books for kids about flatulence!)
