2am mini rant

feel like if we lived in a world where people were encouraged to acknowledge their implicit biases re: race/gender/class/etc we might be able to live in a world with less racism/misogyny/homophobia/transphobia/ableism/classism but oops we went the other way with that one. 

ok, thank you internet, you may now go back to your regularly scheduled programming of pretending that you never have any shitty thoughts about people who are different than you, since this would detract from your ability to freak out every time someone fucks up and betrays their own little ugly instances of human shittiness.
