I also have a random question:
Elsewhere you've stated that the short stories "The Jester" and "Professional Integrity" take place chronologically after The Rose and the Thorn and before Theft of Swords. So where's The Death of Dulgath in the timeline in relation to those shorts? It probably doesn't matter much, but I'm sure I won't be the only one wondering.

@Stephen - it's pretty exciting I'm anxious to have it out as well.
@Alysa - I do sleep...but I don't write for as long as you might expect. In general I only have to get 1,000 - 2,000 words a day which means 3 - 4 hours of work. If I try to write for long periods (like 8 - 10 hours) the work comes out so badly that I just have to rewrite it. So, it doesn't help to try to do more. What I do during my downtime though is think a lot about the next day's writing so I'm pretty well primed before I start - all that makes the writing go fast, and gives me plenty of time to do other things.
The short stories are such that they can be read virtually anytime. In Professional Integrity I briefly mention the "job" of The Jester so they have some connection to one another (but rather tangentially. The Jester takes place in year 4 (or 5) of their partnership.
The Rose and Thorn ends as winter approaches in the second year the pair are together. The Death of Dulgath takes place mainly over the sprint and summer of their next year together.
So the complete chronology to date would be:
● The Crown Tower
● The Rose and the Thorn
● The Death of Dulgath
● The Jester
● Professional Integrity
● Theft of Swords (The Crown Conspiracy & Avempartha)
● Rise of Empire (Nyphron Rising & The Emerald Storm)
● Heir of Novron (Wintertide and Percepliquis).
Thanks for asking.
@Cmoore - I hope so!
