PRC Roundup: Did I forget anyone?? – black bear
OK, we're down to the final couple posts! Please be sure to check out the ENTIRE mass of photos from various and sundry PRC's on the Photobucket album–I couldn't put everything on the blog, but it's all there. So first up is shout-outs to Phoenix and Denver, both of which ended up as small meetups rather than larger events. Here's a pic from the PRC in Denver:

Nikira H. in Santa Cruz, while unable to send us photos, reports an excellent Pegasus event was held there as well!
Alicia R., a librarian at a base school in Georgia, tells me that her PRC party was hugely successful–50 attendees!–and the students had a great time–she's already planning future book parties for 2011. No student pictures allowed, so here are some pics of the teachers who helped make this event happen!
Lori K., also a librarian at a U.S. base school (this one in Germany) held an all-day event, which attracted over 80 middle school students throughout the day. She tells me that Robin's books are very popular with several of her 8th grade girls, and that there's now a 16-student wait list for Pegasus at the library! Thanks, Lori.
Christchurch, New Zealand had some organizational difficulties, but at the last minute they were able to put together a meet-up! Delicious desserts were eaten, and BlueRose sent us this picture:

Xanthe put together a library event in Whitmore Lake, Michigan–

And in Sacramento, Sarahkp and friends spent quality time recommending various Robin books to one another and eating this beautiful cake!

Sarah tells me she is a "beginner" at cake decorating. I don't buy it. :)

Just before Xmas, our intrepid Los Angeles group, led by Peanut, met up at the Borders in Brea. She tells us:
We had a sinful, delectable array of goodies: home-made apple butter, home-made fudge, cookies, monkey bread, cheesecake. Kudos to Pam and Crisara for their baking skills! I also brought some extra books as alternate prizes so no one would go home empty handed.
We had a wide-ranging discussion, mostly about books we loved, especially Robin's books, of course! Some of us had trouble picking a favorite, so we picked two favorites, which included The Blue Sword, Deerskin, The Hero and the Crown, Sunshine, and Beauty. We couldn't discuss Pegasus much because a couple of us hadn't read the book yet and didn't want to spoil it for the others. We are madly anticipating the sequel!

The Urbana Free Library Event will have its own post, so it merely remains to report on the final PRC of the year: Dallas/Fort Worth! On December 29, they got together for food, book chat, and knitting. And what knitting! Check out the Pegasus-inspired feathery shawl made by Livvispatula:

Wow, that's just.... wow.

Remember, if you have not sent me your attendee lists, I need them by JANUARY 7 or you are out o' luck. I'll post the Urbana report shortly, and then we'll do the drawing!
