Almost Half Way There on Signatures!

Well, it's been almost two weeks now and out of the 526 signatures that I need to run for Town Council, I'm standing right at right about 240!  I think that's a great start with only having two events in about a ten day time span.

Like always, I need to thank everybody that helped out at the Library, at the Town Hall Courtyard and at SCOV. There's just no way I'd be even close to having as many signatures as I do now without all of your generous contributions of your time and energy. It really is a lot of work.

I've started going door to door this week and every time I go out, I'm never super pumped to do so, but I always meet so many people that are annoyed with the direction of the Town that I come away feeling more and more optimistic about our chance of victory. Even if half of the people I meet are annoyed, I think that's a HUGE telling card that says there's a good chance this election will come out in our favor!

This week was kind of stressful as I made two large purchases which depleted my funds by about a third!  I was a little timid to hit the "pay for it" button in case I misspelled a word or was ordering the wrong size or material or whatever, but I barreled through and did it anyway.

Now, sometime in the next two weeks, my signs should be arriving as well as 1000 magnets, which have another variation of my sign on them. I thought of business cards, but I know what I do when someone gives me their business card, so hopefully when I go door to door and hand them a magnet, they'll slap it on the fridge and think of me for a few more months until the election rolls around!

Working with Steve Didio and Shirl Lamonna at SCOV this past Sunday for Sun City's 4th of July concert was a great experience. I know we're not going to agree on all issues and maybe not on even some of the bigger ones, but they really are great candidates in themselves and I've enjoyed getting to know both of them.

Well, that's all for this little update. Now that my signs are ordered, I need some rock lawns to put them in! If you'd be willing to give one of my signs a good home, please send me an email at ryanhartung1953@gmail.com  As always, forward this message to anyone else who you think would like to read about what's going on with my campaign. There are  additional updates at www.ryanhartung.com. You can donate there as well!  Thanks again for believing in me and happy belated 4th of July!
