5 Things We Want From Hawaii Five-0 Season 6

Our wish list collection continues. Of all the shows we watch, Hawaii Five-0 is one of my (Jen's) favorites. The moment I heard they'd cast Alex O'Loughlin as Steve McGarrett in this remake, it was planted on my radar.

The tale end of Season 5 was an angst ridden affair as there was speculation that the show would not be renewed for a 6th season. I'm usually one to look when renewals are announced, but not actively stalk information. I stalked the season 6 announcement. I am in no way prepared for this show to end any time soon.

So with all that anticipation, I've given plenty of thought to what I want to see in the coming season.

1. More McDanno. None of this going entire episodes without at least one good moment with these two stuff from the last couple of seasons. Longer exchanges are better, but let's face it, these two can remind us how awesome they are in even the shortest scene. I may love a lot of things about this show, but these two are my fundamental must have.

So really, more things like this in Season 6 would be much appreciated ...

2. More stories that bring out the ohana. Whether it's something one of them is going through that they all pull together to handle, acting like family after a rough case, or just general fluff with them hanging out at Kamekona's eating shrimp, we need solid displays of the Five-0 ohana routinely throughout the season.

3. More Grace (and maybe Charlie) with Danny, Steve, and the rest of the team. This ties in with #2, but is important enough to call out on its own. I love Grace with the team, especially her Uncle Steve. She's a younger, sweeter version of Danny, and we need to see more of her.

4. Steve getting a chance to deal with some of the incredibly traumatic stuff he's been through. Really all of them having that chance. Seriously though, if you think about it Steve's had all the stuff with his family, Korea, almost being beheaded, the epic showdown with Wo Fat, and a ton of other stuff worthy of a series case of PTSD. Is it too much to ask that that we acknowledge what all that has likely done to him, and reinforce the idea that even BAMFs are allowed to need helping coping?

And now that I've listed all the sweet stuff full of feels that I want, it's time to switch gears.

5. More BAMF Steve ... and bad ass Kono too. The whole Five-0 team is capable for scaring the criminal element of Hawaii, but McGarrett and Kono seem enjoy it a bit more than is normal. We alway (ALWAYS) love getting to watch them kick some ass. Hand-to-hand combat, shooting things, blowing stuff up, it really doesn't matter how they choose to demonstrate their badassness. We just want to see it.

Sound off and let us know what you'd like to see in Season 6 of Hawaii Five-0. Did we capture your wishlist or are we missing things?
