Newspaper comics are literature for people who wish to feel dead inside, pretty much all of them.

Today's newspaper comics at best have artists who are at least aware of how bad it is, and would love to be creative as possible… Pastis, Marciuliano, and Tatulli to name a few. But even they're held back by the standards of the dinosaur syndicates. It really is best to just move on.
