Ellen For all its sadness, Paula, this was quite wonderful, demonstrating (doubly) the power of writing to connect those whom misery or grief or sometimes just life has isolated. Strangely perhaps, "War & Peace" once did this for me. Prince Andrei's death absorbed my sorrow.
