I didn’t do that on purpose, but it’s certainly a huge influence on me.

There’s a stories that converge as one trick that Gibson does that I really like too. (here’s some fan art I did awhile back) 

And yeah, that back up comic by Tom Herpich (Of Adventure time fame) was something he mentioned as being a Gibson style thing when he was working on it. I love that back up. Tom is sooo good.
