Very Frustrating

Well, I had hoped that my next LJ post would be a thoughtful essay about dramatic storytelling, but unfortunately now it's going to have to be about amazon.com.

So, the amazon.com webpage for Ginn Hale's brand new book, Lord of the White Hell, Book Two, says that the book is out of print. Just for the record, this book is not out of print. I just sent them 95 copies of it two days ago. It is only 8 days old. It's absolutely not out of print.

The reason this is happening is that Blind Eye Books got a new North American distributor, SCB Distributors. What that means is that from October or so, you will be able to order your copies of any Blind Eye Book from any bookstore (online or brick & mortar) in the US. Switching to SCB also means that our books will be available at bookstores in Canada, so rather than paying the international shipping, our Canadian customers will be able to order their books from Chapters or their local bookstore of choice. I'm really excited about this, since I only live 20 miles from the Canadian border having to charge for international shipping to a place that I can see from my living room has always vexed me.

The transition is somewhat rocky, though, for our amazon.com account. There may even be a couple of days when our books disappear entirely from the site. Fear not! They will return.

During the interim we will continue to sell all of our titles via our website, blindeyebooks.com so if you would like a book you can always order it directly from us.

Now I'll go back to writing that thoughtful essay.

Over and out.
