Five Days, Five Photos – Day 3

Flowers don’t seem to mind the heat. They sit pretty all day as if the sun is no more than a spotlight showing off their delicate beauty. I think the secret lies in the roots. The cool soil is something like having our feet in a pool of cold water. Whatever the case, it is a wonder that the petals don’t wilt in conditions that can take my water and make me wilt in a matter of minutes. I’m jealous.
