Two observations:

1) Sherlock is more embarrassed about having been caught being wrong about the sugar than he is about having drugged John

2) John is so smug about having caught Sherlock being wrong that he’s actually not upset about having been drugged any more

These two. Seriously. It’s a little bit fucked up, but it totally works.
