10 Life Lessons I Have Learned
I recently had the honor of being the commencement speaker at the graduation ceremony for the Austin School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Austin, TX.
In my speech, I shared 10 life lessons with the graduates. I wanted to share them with you, too.
10 Life Lessons I Have Learned
1. Don’t live your life making choices to please others. Do what makes you happy.
2. When opportunity strikes, take it.
3. You will never know what is possible if you don’t try.
4. It takes 15 years to become an overnight success.
5. Try to be as present to your life as possible. The Now is the only moment that truly exists.
6. Everything happens for a reason. There are no accidents.
7. Miracles are happening all around you if you just stop to notice them.
8. Our souls are God and our spiritual work is to express the God within us. We do this through Love.
9. Don’t keep your message or your art locked inside you. You must release it to the world. Otherwise, those who are meant to benefit from it will never find it.
10. Success is 10% talent and 90% hard work. If you can set a goal, create an action plan, believe in yourself, work hard, and have the determination and persistence to meet your goals, then you can achieve anything you desire.
Those are just 10 of the many lessons I have learned throughout the years. I hope you find them beneficial in your personal and spiritual growth.
Please let me know what you think and write a comment below. I do read and personally respond to all of them. And feel free to share one of your own life lessons!
Peace and blessings,
Sullins
