A yeti was spotted in Tutt Library twice in the spring of 2015, but we have no photo documentation of the events. (The photo at left is from a previous sighting.) On at least one of these occasions, the yeti wore a pink felt heart on his or her chest stating “YETI [heart] LIBRARY” and tried to check out Where the Wild Things Are and a picture book about monsters, but was unwilling to provide a gold card.
The zine for the 2015 Tutt Library Annual Haiku contest, available in the Colorado College Zine Collection, contains two yeti-related haiku/senryu/non-haiku. The first, by yours truly, reads: a yeti visits / its heart says it loves this place / yeti, we do too. The second, attributed to the yeti, reads:
YETI LORVE LIBRARYRE
YETI LORVE BOOKS AND POMES
YETI NOT COUNT SILLBULLS
WHAT SILBBULL ANYWAY
