David Bernstein named as FA's new chairman

David Bernstein was today nominated as the surprise choice to be the new chairman of the Football Association.

Bernstein, 67, is a former chairman if Manchester City and is currently in charge of Wembley Stadium. He will take over as FA chairman if, as is expected, his appointment is endorsed by the FA council on 25 January.
