Is It Possible to Mix 'Hierarchical' Work Relationships, Age & Sex?

I'm a 45 year old woman, a mother of two young children and in a stable monogamous relationship, although I don't really believe in sexual monogamy. In my work I lead a small team of people and last year a very attractive young man, who's nearly twenty years younger than me, started working in my team. The attraction between us was incredibly strong, but nothing ever happened between us (even when we were away together for work and had the opportunity). I think we never dared because of the work relationship and because he knows my family, and perhaps because of the age difference.
