Because I hated his use of racial slurs.

Then they came for Ovid, and I did not speak out--
Because the rape of Persephone was triggering me.

Then they came for Shakespeare, and I did not speak out--
Because I could not understand Old English.

Then they came for me--and there was no one left to speak
for the language I intended to use.
