“Grant.” From his seat on the small couch, Max held up the embossed photo album, smiling from ear to ear. “Thank you.”

Grant returned the smile and raised his drink in acknowledgment of thanks. “Happy holidays, boss man.”

Max twisted to face the smaller man seated beside him. “And you.” Setting the album on the table before him, Max disregarded the crowd surrounding them as he loomed over Ferris, forcing the smaller man back against the arm of the couch. “Thank you. For everything.” Continue reading »
