Encinitas Sunset Circa 2015

2015.  The year of Back to the Future 2.  The year of hover boards, Amazon drones and whatever else.  I don't keep up.  Yet, around here we're still wearing brands that came out forty or fifty years ago.  We're still drinking beer.  We still riding around on things that have wheels that touch the ground.  We're still dressing like it's 1983, or '76 or some folks, '94.  A lot has changed, but a lot has remained the same.  We're still trying to hold onto the past around here and I don't think that's a bad thing.

I look at this photo I took last night on the way home, two minutes from home where I had to (had to, just had to) stop and take a photo of the sunset.  The one consistent thing that hasn't changed.  Another sunset.  Another day.  

I'm glad that we're still touching the ground and haven't gotten too sci-fi.
